Polypropylene (Thermal Bonded)
Polypropylene (Thermal Bonded)
Spunbonded polypropylene is now widely used in coolant filtration and can be used in gravity, hydrostatic, pressure and vacuum filter systems.
A great option for coolant filtration; due to its strength, it can replace viscose in applications where tearing is an issue. With its excellent oleophillic properties, it is able to absorb and separate tramp oil from machine tool coolant, making it an ideal product for use as an oil barrier material.
Predominantly used in pleated filter cartridges as a support material; polypropylene’s compatibility with a wide range of chemicals make it a highly efficient filter material as well as provide an excellent filter cake release.
Filtration ranges nominally from 10 – 55 micron dependant on the weight of the paper media.
